A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday), at Lakewood Funeral Home's Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, for Clinton Woodrow Michael, 87, of Hughson. He died Sept. 30, 2010.

Burial with military honors will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born March 22, 1923, in Washburn, Mo., to John and Dora Michael, Clinton served in the Army during World War II from 1943 to 1945 in France and Africa. A longtime resident of Hughson, he was a member of the Waterford Sportsmen's Club and was a pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God in Farmersville. Mr. Michael was fondly remembered as a bus driver for the Hughson Union School District, where he watched generation after generation board his school bus.

He leaves behind his wife, Wuanita Michael of Hughson; his children, Jim Michael, Gene Michael, Jerry Michael and Judy Fontana; and eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
