A graveside service was held July 5 at Lakewood Memorial Park for Ernest Floyd Smart, 70, of Ceres. He died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 26, 1934, Mr. Smart was a native of Pampa, Texas, and lived in Ceres since 1949. He was a retired office manager and dispatcher for Harkrader Trucking. Mr. Smart was a member of the Hughson United Methodist Church and enjoyed photography and travel. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959 and in the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1963.
He leaves behind his wife, D. Estalene Smart of Ceres. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
