A funeral service was held Saturday at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward for Francis Xavier Byrne, 45, of Ceres. He died Oct. 16, 2010.

Born Oct. 18, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pa., Francis was a devoted caretaker of Victory Assembly of God Church in Ceres.

He leaves behind his mother, Joan Miller; and his sister, Maria Sherwood.
