A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church in Hayward for Henry Rose, 91, of Modesto. He died Dec. 21, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.

Cunningham's Affordable Burial and Cremation was in charge of inurnment at Ceres Memorial Park.

Born Aug. 28, 1914, Mr. Rose was a native of Oakland and lived in Modesto for 20 years and previously lived in Castro Valley for 30 years. Mr. Rose manufactured jewelry and was the engraver and proprietor of Acme Trophies in Hayward for 30 years. He was a member of Bible Chapel in Hayward, and First Baptist Church in Ceres, and various gem and mineral clubs in Modesto and Castro Valley. Mr. Rose enjoyed oil painting and gardening.

He leaves behind his wife, Marian Rose of Modesto; seven children, Robert, William, Marianne, Patricia, Kathleen, Henry and Timothy; and 28 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sue Ellen.
