Jack B. Canevaro

A Mass was held Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Jack B. Canevaro, 90, of Ceres. He died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at Brandel Manor in Turlock.

The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Born Jan. 12, 1914, Mr. Canevaro was a native of Pittsburg and lived in Ceres for 30 years. He graduated from McClymonds High School in Oakland. Mr. Canevaro was an appliance serviceman and salesman and had owned a store, and was employed by Casey Moving Systems as an ambassador. He was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. Mr. Canevari enjoyed playing lotto and playing the horses.

He leaves behind three children, Marilyn Castellucio of Tracy, Barry Canevaro of Isleton and Paul Canevaro of Livermore; his brother, Joseph Canevaro of Pollock Pines; two sisters, Azaela Caruso and Elvera Loy, both of Arnold; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ermina "Bee" Canevaro.
