An inurnment service was held Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Escalon for Jamie "Jay" McKaughan, 40, of Ceres. He died March 25, 2012 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock after a battle with cancer.
Born June 1971 in Modesto, Jay attended Davis High School. He was a sales manager and a advertising executive. Mr. McKaughan was an artist and wrote award-winning poetry and also enjoyed drawing. Jay won awards through Major League Gaming (MLG) for his online gaming abilities.
He leaves behind his wife, Tammy McKaughan of Ceres; his children, Mariah McKaughan and Dalton and Meghan McKaughan, all of Ceres; his brother, Jess McKaughan of Modesto; two sisters, Mary Jane Casillas and Pamela Jean Roberts, both of Modesto. He was preceded in death by parents Jessie and Mary Jane McKaughan.
