A funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto for John F. Alconcher, 89, of Ceres. He died Feb. 2, 2011 at Bethel Retirement Community in Modesto.
The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of burial at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born Oct. 3, 1922 in the Philippines, John was a 12-year resident of Ceres.
He leaves behind his son, John M. Alconcher of Ceres; two brothers, Eddie Alconcher and Rudy Alconcher; two sisters, Virginia and Susan; and his grandson, Michael J. Alconcher, of Ceres.
