A Mass was held Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Julia Cervantes Ybarra, 64, of Ceres. She died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel in Turlock.

Born April 12, 1941, Mrs. Ybarra was a native of Austin, Texas, and lived in Ceres for four years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and music.

She leaves behind three children, Pete Ybarra Jr. and Maria Navarro, both of Modesto, and Elma Ybarra of Ceres; her brother, Jesse Cervantes of Modesto; three sisters, Enedina Cervantes of Ceres and Delfina Herrera and Ramona Casa, both of Modesto; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Ybarra.
