A funeral service was held Monday at Crossroads Revival Church in Siloam Springs, Ark., for Leonard L. Rayburn, 77, of Gentry, Ark. The former Ceres resident died Sept. 27, 2007 at his home.

Burial was at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Ark., under the direction of the Wasson Funeral of Siloam Springs, was in charge of arrangements.

Born Feb. 28, 1930, Mr. Rayburn was a native of Trinity, Texas, the son of Jess and Hallie Allen Rayburn.

He married Marjorie Mitchell on June 16, 1951 in Ceres. Mr. Rayburn was an auto detailer.

Mr. Rayburn was a member of Crossroads Revival Church.

He leaves behind his wife, Marjorie Rayburn of Gentry; two sons, Leo Rayburn and Ken Rayburn, both of Gentry; his sister, Jessie Faye Travels of Ceres; five grandchidren, Kristen Asencio of Siloam Springs, Jessica Skidgel of Gentry, Courtney Rayburn of Gentry, Stacy Trester of Chunite, Kan., and Jimmy Lee Rayburn of California; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Marjorie Irene Rayburn, grandson Derek Rayburn, brothers James Rayburn and Jerry Rayburn and sisters Irene Gentry and Geneva Hendrix.
