A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Michael R. Pope, 64, of Hughson. He died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 at his home.
Lakewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born April 2, 1940 Mr. Pope was a native of Walla Walla, Wash., and lived in Hughson for 54 years. He was employed as a truck driver for Fairbanks Trucking and was a member of the Teamsters union. Mr. Pope served in the Army.
He leaves behind two children, Donna Coronado of Turlock and Licia King of Orangevale; two stepchildren, Andrea Perry and Leanne Anshutz, both of Northern California; his brother, Glenn Pope of Marysville; three sisters, Terry Ray and Sherry Parker, both of Oregon, and Patty Jenkins of San Pablo; and four grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Pope.
