Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. on April 27 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Otho "Rex" Wise Jr., 70, of Modesto. He died April 10, 2010.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
The son of Otho and Violet Parker Wise, Rex was a native of Bellaire, Ohio, and had lived in California for 50 years. He lived at Ceres Christian Terrace in Ceres before moving to Modesto. An Army veteran, Rex retired from Greyhound.
He leaves behind his brother, Rev. Myron Wise of Dublin, Ga.; his sisters, Gloria Moody Hunkle of Ravenna, Ohio, Becky Green of Akron, Ohio; foster brother, Matthew Vatanze of Wheeling, W.V.; and caregiver Gaylene Ramos of Turlock.
