Parlee Aldridge

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Parlee Aldridge, 85, of Riverbank. The former Ceres resident died on Aug. 2 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Allen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Born in June 1922, Mrs. Aldridge was a native of Springdale, Ark. She attended school in Springdale and moved to California in 1964. She lived in Modesto and Ceres and moved to Riverbank two years years ago. Mrs. Aldridge worked at Tri Valley Growers, Plant 7 for 21 years. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed to play bingo.

She leaves behind her three children, Mary Dunn of Riverbank, Billie Aldridge of Keyes, and Lloyd Aldridge of Ceres; two sisters, Wilma Delaney of Oklahoma and sister Rosie Meyers of California; her brother, Bill Trollinger of Arkansas; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband Howard Aldridge in 1997; and two sisters and six brothers.
