A memorial service was held Saturday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Ricky Lee Lowe, Jr., 29, of Turlock. He died last month.
Born July 1982 in Modesto, Ricky was raised in Turlock. He played baseball with Turlock Little League and later played football at Hughson High School. Ricky was a Navy cadet during which time he spent two weeks at Treasure Island for boot camp. He attended ITT Technical Institute for telecommunications where he made the dean's list. He spent the last two years helping raise his nephew including coaching his nephew in Little League baseball.
He leaves behind his mother, Teresa Johnson of Turlock; his sister, Tinisha Kennedy; his grandparents Michael DeFonce and Imogene Lowe; and his nephews, Michael James Richards and Vance Lee Kennedy. Ricky was preceded in death by father Ricky Lee Lowe and grandfather David Lowe.
