A graveside service was held Friday at Ceres Memorial Park for Sharon "Sherry"
Anne Morgan, 69, of Ceres. She died July 11, 2010 of congestive heart failure at the Kaiser-Permanente Hospital in Manteca, surrounded by family.
Salas Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born May 9, 1941 in South Africa, Sherry was the oldest daughter of Canadian parents Stewart and Anne Morgan, who both died tragically in a plane bombing in 1955. She moved to California in 1966, and worked for more than two decades at the General Motors and NUMMI plant in Fremont. She retired in 2004 and moved to Ceres with her beloved partner of three decades, Sharon Lane. Sherry enjoyed visiting garage sales.
She is survived by her three children, Denise Bedford, Stewart Filpula and Richard Kerr; her sister, Susan; and her two grandchildren, Nicholas Turpin and Ashleigh Turpin.
