Theodore R. Hornbaker

A memorial service was held Saturday at First United Methodist Church for Theodore "Ted" Robert Hornbaker, 81, of Turlock. He died Friday, April 15, 2005 at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City.

Redwood Chapel in Redwood City was in charge of private interment.

Born Oct. 26, 1923, Mr. Hornbaker was a native of Cleveland, Okla., and had lived in Turlock since the early 1950s. He was an engineer for Turlock Refrigeration for 40 years. Mr. Hornbaker belonged to Turlock Masonic Lodge 395, Scottish Rite Bodies and Aahmes Shrine, as well as Order of the Eastern Star, Ceres Chapter 296. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mr. Hornbaker was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; he was a pilot in several campaigns and left the military as a first lieutenant.

He leaves behind his wife, Wanda L. Hornbaker of Turlock; three children, Jeff Weaver of Ripon, Nancy L. Clark of La Quinta and Anne Youngborg of Mill Valley; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
