A Mass was held Friday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Veronica Tomasa Delagrande Garcia, 46, of Modesto. She died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005.
Private burial at Ceres Memorial Park was arranged by Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Born Jan. 14, 1959, Mrs. Garcia was a native of San Jose and had lived in Modesto since 1998 and previously lived in Merced. She was a caterer for 10 years. Mrs. Garcia volunteered for Girl Scouts and enjoyed crocheting, music, dancing, baking and crafts.
She leaves behind four children, Magdalena Garcia, Janelle Garcia, Tiffaney Garcia and Eric Garcia, all of San Jose; her parents, Augustine L. Jr. and Angela V. Delagrande of Ceres; three brothers, Augustine Delagrande, Francisco Delagrande and Angel Delagrande, all of Ceres; and four sisters, Cathaleen D. Delagrande of Fayetteville, N.C., Louise M. Salas of Patterson, Amelia J. Chacon of Ceres and Rebecca L. Delagrande of San Jose. She was preceded in death by her son Philip Garcia.
