Private family interment was held for William K. "Bill" Harren, 73, of Turlock. The former Ceres resident died recently.

Born in June 1937 to Kendall and Eurena Harren in Pacific Grove, Bill began schooling in San Francisco but spent most of his school years in Ceres. After graduating from Ceres High School in 1955, Bill joined the National Guard, and served for six years. On August 2, 1957, he married high school sweetheart Ann Marie Blaker. Bill and Ann were married for 53 years. After working in the concrete business for 20 years, Bill purchased Professional Chevron Gas Station in Turlock, which he ran for several years. Mr. Harren then taught himself to cook and became the cook/owner of Pine Cone Cafe in Mi-Wuk Village for 18 years until retirement and moving back to Turlock. Bill enjoyed collecting guns and once owned a gun shop in Mi-Wuk Village. He also restored old clocks, dabbled in photography, metal detecting, and cutting wood for his wife's craft business.

He leaves behind his wife, Ann Harren of Turlock; two daughters, Barbara Milgrom and Jennifer Meyer; and his grandchildren, Kate Baker, Zack Milgrom, Josh Meyer, and Lexi Meyer; and great-grandchild Allegra Baker.
