The Bulldogs opened the 2013-14 campaign with a 54-47 win over host Enochs on Saturday in Modesto.

"I had some jitters at the start of the game," he said.

Harman Chung, a 6-foot-4 215-pound senior forward, paced Ceres High with 23 points and 12 rebounds. He made 11 of 14 shots from the field.

"Offensively, he's our No. 1 guy," Marquez said. "He's a beast."

Joshneil Sandhu buried three treys on his way to scoring nine points for the Bulldogs.

Abel Reyes added seven points, seven assists and five steals.

Dylan Canatsy, Junior Garcia and Nick Burt all contributed four points.

Terry Brogdon had three points and five rebounds.
Ceres High led from start to finish in beating Enochs.

The Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 19-8 in the third period.

The Bulldogs totaled 11 steals.

"The guys did a good job running our new motion offense," Marquez said. "Defensively, they did really well."
