The Ceres Dolphins competed at home for the final time this season.

The recreational swim team lost 940-864 to the undefeated Turlock Sea Dogs on Saturday at Ceres High School.

"It's always fun to compete at home," Ceres head coach Tracy Bull said. "It was an electric atmosphere. We only lost by 76 points. We had some really good performances."

The Dolphins dropped to 2-3 in the MVSL dual-meet standings.

Julia Pata (15-16 girls) set personal records in both the 100 IM and 50 free.

Turlock and Ceres finished first and second, respectively, with team scores of 1,1761/2 and 825 at the Sea Dogs Invitational on June 21 at Pitman High School.

"We swam against them at home two years ago," Bull said. "They beat us by 400-plus points. We closed the gap. Their talent is in the fly, breast and IM. We dominated the freestyles and won the majority of the relays."
