Bicyclist riding with no lights at night had drugs, five warrants

A man with a history of drug and theft arrests was behind bars on Sunday, May 5 after a Ceres Police officer pulled him over since his bicycle was without lights and found him wanted for five arrest warrants.

Shawn Moore was peddling down Service Road at 1:36 a.m. when Officer Jonathan Blount saw him without lighting equipment near Mitchell Road. On active, searchable probation for drugs, Moore was found to have five warrants for his arrest for drug and theft related offenses. 

Officer Blount searched Moore and found him in possession of methamphetamine. He was booked for possession of a controlled substance and the warrants.
