Areli Rodriguez Morales
Areli Rodriguez Morales (center) was celebrated at Friday’s Rotary Club meeting with the help of Rotary President Cathy Pietanza, Whitmore Charter Assistant Principal Kirsten Bartlett, and her parents, Luz Rodriguez-Morales and Francisco Rodriguez.

Whitmore Charter School of Arts and Technology eighth-grader Areli Rodriguez Morales was honored as a May “Rotary Student of the Month.”

Areli was selected as a committed student always striving for her personal best. She asks insightful questions in class and positively impacts her peers with her hard work and determination. She consistently earns “A” grades in class and currently has a 4.0 grade point average (GPA).

Whitmore’s staff is excited that she will continue her studies at Whitmore Charter High School, where her dedication and academic success will serve her well in both her high school and MJC dual enrollment courses.

Areli is an active three-year member of Interact where she has enjoyed being involved with serving at the Rotary Crab Feed and community Thanksgiving dinner at the Salvation Army Red Shield Center.

Faith is a cornerstone of her life, and Areli volunteers as both a church usher and in the church nursery.

Areli has a strong sense of empathy, and her consistent willingness to give back to her community highlights her dedication to service.
