Central Valley High School senior Alicia Espinoza was honored Friday as a “Rotary Student of the Month.”

Alicia is an exceptional and well-rounded student who exemplifies dedication, leadership and excellence both in and out of the classroom. A four-year member of the Central Valley wrestling program, she is a four-time league champion, four-time Masters qualifier, three-time state qualifier, and earned the prestigious distinction of becoming the first Masters Champion in school history. She also placed seventh in the state, solidifying her legacy and inspiring future athletes – so much so that the girls wrestling program now honors her with the Espinoza Award.

In addition to her wrestling success, Alicia has been a four-year varsity softball player and a three-year captain of the flag football team, earning an invitation to participate in the upcoming All-Star Flag Football game.

Beyond athletics, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to service, volunteering as a Foothill Horizons sixth grade camp counselor for two years, participating in active shooter preparedness trainings throughout high school, and supporting the Buddies Down Syndrome event.
