The staff at Whitmore Charter High school recommended Hailey Coyt to be the Soroptimist International of Ceres as its “Student of the Month” for February.
As a Whitmore student, Coyt consistently demonstrates academic strength, dedication to her goals and service to others. She consistently balances academic expectations with her personal goals. Throughout the last two years at Whitmore, Hailey has used the flexibility in the Whitmore education model to her advantage. She currently balances two days of in-person instruction with four online classes. For many, the freedom of this type of schedule would encourage students to procrastinate but Hailey’s self-discipline allows for her consistent success and a 3.56 Grade Point Average (GPA). Her work consistently shows attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
In addition, she has begun incorporating dual enrollment courses at MJC to begin working toward her college degree.
In addition to balancing her eight classes, Hailey is committed to serving others. She is an active member of the Whitmore Charter Interact club, working to better the community through volunteer opportunities. She also often volunteers within her church to share her faith and connect with others.
Her kind, open nature brings encouragement to others, and she works hard to brighten those around her.
Recently, Hailey has also started her own Matcha tea business. From advertising on social media to bringing drinks to friends at school, Hailey has enjoyed expanding her business skills. She hopes to continue to grow her business and one day open her own coffee shop. Hailey wants to attend college locally, developing the skills she needs to make her future coffee business a success.
Her dedication to academic excellence, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to serving others make her an exemplary candidate.
