A funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 16 at Lakewood Funeral Home's Heritage Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, for Janice Wine Oliver, 91, of Hughson. She died June 5, 2012.
Born July 20, 1920 in Hill City, Minn.,, Janice was the youngest of five children of Arthur and Lillian Newton Saylor. Janice was a resident of Modesto and a member and an elder of Geneva Presbyterian Church from 1952 to 1973 before moving to Swanson Road in the Denair/Hughson area. She became a member of Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock. In 1994 she returned to Modesto and lived at Silverwood Mobile Home Park on Coffee Road. She became a member of Big Valley Grace Community Church. In 2007 she moved to Samaritan Village in Hughson and lived there until her death.
She leaves behind her children, Carroll Wine of Concord, David Wine of Turlock, Ellen Wine Santos of Turlock, Dianne Wine Smith of Mt. Hermon, La., Susan Wine Glidewell of Modesto, and Janis Wine Flaumenhaft of Ceres; and 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
