A memorial service was held Friday morning at the First United Methodist Church of Modesto for Martha A. Quinley Zimmerman, 93, of Modesto. She died of natural causes on Monday, April 25, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Nov. 20, 1911, Mrs. Zimmerman was a native of Hickman and had lived in Stanislaus County all her life. She worked at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in medical records for more than 15 years. Mrs. Zimmerman graduated from Ceres High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and P.E.O. She volunteered at Scenic General Hospital and recently had earned her 25-year pin with the Family Practice Clinic. She enjoyed her family and friends and experiencing outside nature activities.
Mrs. Zimmerman leaves behind her daughter, Shirley De Acetis of Modesto; and her brother, Cecil Quinley of Chico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Zimmerman; son, Walter Zimmerman Jr.; and 10 siblings.
