Editor, Ceres Courier,

On behalf of Central Valley High School and Ceres High School leadership programs, we would like to thank Country Ford in Ceres for the Ford Drive 4 UR School fundraiser project. Ford employees bring vehicles and personnel to help raise money for our programs. Through this project, schools are allowed to raise up to $6,000. This year, we raised over $5,600 for our leadership programs.

Of course, we couldn't do it without our school personnel donating their time to be the school person riding along in the vehicles being driven by CUSD staff, board trustees, parents and community members. Thank you to everyone that was involved in making this project happen.
Between the two schools, 282 people drove cars on one Saturday in October. We really appreciate all the support of our leadership programs. Thank you.

Ceres High School Leadership class would also like to thank the community for their support in our annual Perfect Turkey Dinner Scavenger Hunt. On Monday night, Dec. 1, 65 members of the Leadership classes plus 16 drivers hit the roads of Ceres. Students knocked on doors asking for donations of food items to complete a perfect turkey dinner. Students had such a positive experience out talking to community members. Our community is so supportive of people in need. The Leadership students collected over 1,000 food items going door-to-door. These donations, along with presents, trees and trimmings, and stockings, go to CUSD families with preschool children needing extra help at this time of year.

Thank you to an incredible community.

Activity Director,
