Supervisor supports school named after Louis Arrollo
Letters

Editor, Ceres Courier,

As discussions continue regarding the renaming of Cesar Chavez Junior High School, I would like to express my strong support for honoring former Mayor Louie Arrollo.

Few individuals have dedicated more of their lives to serving the Ceres community than Louie. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he answered the call to serve our nation before dedicating decades to serving the residents of Ceres. As a former mayor, councilmember, community leader and volunteer, Louie has consistently demonstrated integrity, humility and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others.

The naming of a school should recognize individuals whose lives reflect the values we hope to instill in future generations and Louie Arrollo embodies those values. His lifelong dedication to public service, civic engagement, and community involvement has left a lasting mark on our city and serves as an example for young people to follow.

As Stanislaus County Supervisor and a former Ceres City Councilmember, I have seen firsthand the respect Louie has earned throughout our community and the lasting impact he has made throughout his career of public service. I am proud to call him a mentor and friend. His leadership, guidance, and passion for serving others have inspired many, and will continue to do so through the renaming of this school.

Schools are more than buildings; they are places where students learn the importance of character, responsibility, and service. Naming this school after Louie Arrollo would honor a man whose legacy reflects the very best of Ceres.

Channce A. Condit,

Stanislaus County Supervisor, District 5
