Willard E. (Bill) Sperry, III

December 16, 1946 — July 26, 2026

It is with great sorrow that we had to say goodbye to our dad, brother, grandfather and friend, Bill Sperry.

Bill was raised in Ceres on a farm that had been in the family since the late 1860’s. He loved the history of the family but not the farm work so much. After graduating from Ceres High School in 1964, he headed to Idaho State University receiving a degree in pharmacy. He began his practice in Pocatello, and ended it in Nyssa, Oregon with his practice lasting over 50 years.

His love of hunting and fishing never wavered and if there was a fishing tournament you would find him close by. Bill’s love of gardening was also a big part of his life; he was even featured in an issue of Sunset magazine many years and gardens ago. Bill loved cooking and his bread was famous around the area for it was delicious! He loved his dogs, especially his German Shorthair, Dream, and his bearded collie, Faithful; they were by his side at all times fishing, hunting, and in his lap when at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorothy Sperry of Ceres. He leaves behind his son, Willard E. Sperry, IV (Skip) and his wife Jennifer of Boise, Idaho; daughter Chelle Sperry and Donia Ballard of Palm Bay, Florida; two grandsons, Cannon and William of Boise, Idaho; and sister Gay Sperry and her husband David Provost of Riverbank.
