Cathy Lynn Krigbaum (Wood)

Cathy Lynn Krigbaum (Wood), 76, passed away September 24, 2026, after a short and fierce battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Born May 11, 1950, in San Jose, Cathy graduated from Blackford High School in 1968 and attended San Jose State University. She married Ed Krigbaum on Valentine’s Day in 1970. They shared 56 years of marriage and raised their children, Elizabeth and Justin, in Ceres.

Cathy was creative, generous, strong-willed, and unmistakably herself. She sold Avon for more than 50 years and truly never met a stranger. Customers became friends, and friends became family. Just six days before her death, she submitted her final Avon order.

An artist at heart, Cathy loved drawing, decorating, crafting, and creating elaborate gifts. She remembered people’s stories, struggles, and celebrations and had a fierce instinct to take care of others.

During her final years, Cathy cared for Ed through serious health challenges. After her own AML diagnosis, the woman accustomed to caring for others had to accept their care.

To everyone who drove Cathy to appointments, visited, prayed, cared for her and Ed, or reminded her she was not alone, her family is deeply grateful. You helped Cathy know just how deeply she was loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Cathy’s honor. Details will be shared when arrangements are complete.
