The City of Ceres Recreation Department will host its annual Trunk or Treat event, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Whitmore Park on Third Street.

The free, family-friendly event offers a safe and festive way for kids of all ages to enjoy Halloween. Community members will decorate their car trunks and booths in fun and creative themes and hand out candy to young trick-or-treaters. Costumes are encouraged for children and adults.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for a day of fun, creativity, and sweet treats,” said Recreation Supervisor Jessica Pulliam. “It’s a great alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, especially for families looking for a safe and welcoming environment.”

Offered will be dozens of decorated trunks with candy, music, food and craft vendors and a photo booth.

Those who want to participate by decorating a trunk may register on the city website, ceres.gov by Oct. 12. Or contact Jessica Pulliam at 209.538.4164 or email Jessica.pulliam@ceres.gov
