Ceres High School's varsity volleyball team showed marked improvement during the course of the 2015 Western Athletic Conference season.
The Bulldogs won their final WAC match, 25-17, 25-14, 18-25, 25-18, against Pacheco on Senior Night at Phil de la Porte Gymnasium on Oct. 29.
"It's a great way to end the season," Ceres High head coach Darlene Tobler said. "Everybody got to play."
The Bulldogs posted a 4-8 record on their way to tying for fourth place in the WAC standings with Patterson.
The 1-11 Panthers finished in last place.
"They girls played together as a team," Tobler said. "They improved tremendously throughout the season."
Ceres High's Sabrina Baisdon collected 21 assists and five aces against Pacheco.
Jessica Arreola had 18 digs.
Kendall Meyer contributed a career-high 16 kills, to go along with five blocks.
"The girls played really well," Tobler said. "They all had an on night."
Ceres High will lose four players to graduation, including Baisdon, Arreola, Kadie Brenning and Ally Hailey.
"It's sad to see the seniors go," Tobler said. "They left their hearts on the court. I'm very excited for the future. I have high hopes for this team."
