Ceres High's and Central Valley's varsity track and field programs closed out the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet season last week.

The crosstown rivals battled at Bulldog Stadium.
Ceres High's second-place girls team posted an 88-35 victory against Central Valley on Wednesday.

Azia Brewster, Destiny Suarez, Azar Harrison, Brisa Gonzalez, Carli Gomes, Chelsey Silva, Claudia Jimenez, Julia Pata, Shania Evans, Kendall Meyer, Alyssa Stiles, Alina Williams and Andria Esho led the second-place Bulldogs (4-1).

Brewster placed first in the 100 hurdles, long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Suarez placed first in the 1,600 and 800.

Harrison placed first in the 400 and second in the 200.

Gonzalez placed first in the 3,200, and third in the 1,600 and 800.

Gomes placed second in the 100 and 300 hurdles.

Silva placed second in the 1,600 and 800.

Jimenez placed second in the 400.

Pata placed second in the discus.

Evans placed second in the triple jump.

Meyer placed second in the high jump.

Stiles placed second in the long jump and third in the triple jump.

Williams placed third in the 100.

Esho placed third in the high jump.

Chetna Kumar, Adria Robinson, Mahogany Simon, Blanca Espinoza, Anusha Kumar, Emily Curiel, Delores Uti and Natalia Guzman led the fourth-place Hawks (2-3).

Chetna Kumar placed first in the 100 and 200.

Robinson placed first in the discus.

Simon placed first in the 300 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles.

Espinoza placed third in the 400 and 200.

Anusha Kumar placed third in the 100 hurdles.

Curiel placed third in the 300 hurdles.

Uti placed third in the long jump.

Guzman placed third in the discus.

Ceres High's second-place boys team improved to 4-1 in the WAC standings following its 84-48 win over Central Valley.

Zyier Harrison, Conner Johnson, Marcellus Boykins, Zach Baker, Andrew Gibson, Cordell Dennis, Christian Linarez, Jorge Tiscareno, Noah Holloway, Daniel Yepez, Johnny Hutson, Daniel McElwain and Cody Carpenter led the second-place Bulldogs.

Harrison placed first in the 100 and 200.

Johnson placed first in the discus.

Boykins placed first in the triple jump.

Baker placed first in the high jump.

Gibson placed first in the 110 hurdles and third in the pole vault.

Dennis placed second in the 100, high jump and long jump.
Linarez placed second in the 1,600.

Tiscareno placed second in the pole vault.

Holloway placed second in the 800 and 3,200, and third in the 1,600.
Yepez placed second in the triple jump and 300 hurdles, and third in the high jump and 110 hurdles.

Hutson placed second in the 400 and third in the 200.

McElwain placed third in the discus.

Carpenter placed third in the triple jump.

Enrique Martinez, Sergio Garcia, Patric Senesom, Andres Rojo, Alejandro Saucedo, Chase Bogart, Raquesh Hernandez, Sergio Garcia and Chase Winchester led the fourth-place Hawks (1-3-1).

Martinez placed first in the 1,600 and 3,200.
Garcia placed first in the pole vault.

Senesom placed first in the long jump, second in the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles.

Rojo placed first in the 400, second in the 200 and third in the 800.

Saucedo placed first in the 300 hurdles and third in the high jump.

Bogart placed first in the 800 and third in the 3,200.

Hernandez placed second in the discus.

Garcia placed third in the 400.

Winchester placed third in the 100.
