Ceres High’s and Central Valley’s softball teams competed at the Bill Evans Memorial Tournament this past week at the George Costa Ball Field Complex.

The Bulldogs compiled a 2-2 record in the Black Pool.

The Hawks went 0-3 in the White Pool.

“The girls worked hard every play to make sure they kept the other teams from scoring too many points,” Central Valley head coach Regina Selfridge said. “Overall, if we get our bats hot early on and continue to execute the defense like we have been, we will have a phenomenal season. We just need to stay the course and improve the hitting.”
