The Stanislaus County Fair has booked Colt Ford to perform on Friday, July 10 on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage. The 8:30 p.m. concert will be hosted by KAT Country 103 and is free with the price of Fair admission.
"Colt Ford will bring a different country edge to the Fair and we are thrilled to have him," said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. "His high energy performance will make for the perfect opening night of Fair."
With his innovative blend of country music and hip-hop rhythms, Ford is a cultural force who is ready to go from cult status to a household name. He will next be seen sharing the stage with Toby Keith on his "Shut Up and Hold On" summer tour, where thousands of red Solo cups will be raised in celebration. The follow-up to 2012's chart-topping Declaration of Independence, which remained on the Billboard Country Album chart for more than 58 weeks, Thanks for Listening features collaborations with such pals as Keith Urban, Jerrod Niemann, Chase Rice, and Justin Moore. The album is a celebration of the things near and dear to Colt Ford's heart - America, country music, hard work, and celebrating life with family and friends.
In a world of cultural barriers, Colt Ford brings two diverse backgrounds together, pointing out how close country and hip-hop can be.
"They're both about story-telling," said Ford, "talking about real life from a unique perspective."
