Greg Scudder and the “Honky Tonk Heroes” kicked off the free Ceres Concerts in the Park series last week, followed up with Hit Replay last night.

Four more concerts will be held Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. with food available from various vendors on site. Concerts will end at around 8:30 p.m.

This year’s Concerts in the Park series will run until July 30.

The remaining four concerts in the series are as follows:

  • June 23 – “Los Realos Del Norte.”
  • June 30 – “Gotcha Country.”
  • July 7 – “Third Sol.”
  • July 14 – “Lavonne and the Trainwreck.”

Those attending are invited to be comfortable by bringing along a lawn chair or blanket as the City Recreation Department presents each night with live music, food (for sale), and games. Of course, concert goers may also bring their own picnic and food items.

Whitmore Park is located in downtown Ceres on Third Street near Highway 99.

Sponsors include Schneider Electric, Vic’s Churros, Shave Ice in Paradise, Automatic Gate Operations and Rosalinda Vierra.
