Mountain’s Mike’s Pizza is set to open its second Ceres restaurant – this time in the newly remodeled Whitmore Plaza Shopping Center.

Set to open this month near the new Planet Fitness, the new pizza restaurant will feature the brand’s fresh-to-order pizza crafted using dough made in-house daily and the family-friendly atmosphere for which the company is known.

About 20 jobs are being created by the opening.

Opening in the center on the corner of Whitmore Avenue and Mitchell Road will make the brand’s signature experience even more accessible to locals. Mountain’s Mike’s first restaurant in Ceres is located at 1633 Hatch Road.

“Mountain Mike’s, known for our fun, family-friendly atmosphere and delicious pizzas, is already a neighborhood favorite in the area and we’re happy to make it even more convenient for guests to visit with the addition of this second Ceres location,” said John Babasi, the Mountain Mike’s franchisee operating the new Ceres location. “We’re looking forward to officially opening our doors and welcoming the community in to enjoy everything that makes Mountain Mike’s special.”

The new Ceres Mountain Mike’s will offer its menu of pizzas served on scratch-made dough made in-house daily, boneless and bone-in wings, garlic sticks, jalapeño poppers, an endless salad bar, and wine and beer. Featuring a kids’ playroom with arcade games and big screen TVs throughout, the 2,840-sq. ft. restaurant is offered for sports teams, family gatherings, group fundraising events and private parties alike.

The Whitmore Plaza Shopping Center was renovated in 2016 and 2017 to make it economically viable and included an expansion of the Save Mart store and addition of Planet Fitness. Also new is Golden Bear Physical Therapy. Coming soon is Bob’s Coffee Shop. There are at least four remaining vacancies in the center, including empty space where Delta Blood Bank was formerly located immediately south of Prime Shine.

Mountain Mike’s started in Palo Alto in 1978. After almost four decades, Mountain Mike’s has grown to almost 200 restaurants in California, Oregon, Nevada and Utah. For more the latest, visitwww.mountainmikes.com
