Brian Sontag will become the librarian at the Ceres Library branch as of Nov. 10.

Sontag, who is currently the Oakdale librarian, will take over when Carol Blomquist leaves for the Salida branch.

Blomquist said the Stanislaus County Library system is undergoing a reorganization with the Ceres branch no longer having the regional library status. Thus, Michelle Coxford, the Ceres children's regional librarian will transfer to Turlock as Blomquist transfers to Salida.

"I am coming from the Oakdale branch so this is not my first rodeo," said Sontag. "I do have a few years of experience here."

Blomquist gave a rundown of the November library activities.
