A funeral service was held on Tuesday at Salas Bros Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Abraham A. Bermudez, 63, of Modesto. He died Feb. 10, 2010 at Palm Haven Rehab Care Center in Manteca.
Born July 21, 1946 in Los Angeles, Abraham worked at Basic Foods in Ceres, as a Lead Blender Operator for the past 12 years. He also worked in the Bay Area for a chain of supermarkets for over 20 years. Mr. Bermudez loved to read his Bible and play baseball, boxing and bowling. He also loved to dance and was a Latin Salsa Dancer.
He leaves behind his mother, Ladislada A. Bermudez; seven sisters, Josie, Christina, Sara, Estella, Mary Allen, Virginia, Rose; and his step-brother, Richard. He was preceded in death by his father, Abraham Garcia Bermudez, and brother Frank Bermudez.
