A graveside service will be at held at noon today (Wednesday) at Lakewood Memorial Park for Alice Feuerstein, 81, of Citrus Heights. The former Hughson resident died Friday, March 4, 2005 at her home.

Visitation is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. today at Allen Mortuary in Turlock.

Born May 28, 1923, Mrs. Feuerstein was a native of Quincey, Wash., and lived in Citrus Heights for five years and previously in Turlock. She graduated from Hughson High School. Mrs. Feuerstein owned and operated the Lamplighter Smorgette in Turlock from 1964-72. She enjoyed crocheting and won several first-place awards at the California State Fair for her art.

She leaves behind her husband, Lloyd Feuerstein of Citrus Heights; two children, Dennis Feuerstein of Pollock Pines and Peggy Feuerstein of Sacramento; two brothers, Ralph Handel of Modesto and Wallace Handel of Turlock; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Feuerstein.
