A memorial service was held Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Alonzo Alvarado, 44, of Ceres. He died Sept. 10, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Evins Funeral Home & Crematorium was in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 15, 1960, Mr. Alvarado was a native of Vernon, Texas, and lived in Ceres for 42 years. He was a mechanic for Olivio's Auto Body and Repair in Ceres for 34 years. Mr. Alvarado was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church.
He leaves behind his father, Tomas Alvarado of Ceres; two brothers, Tomas Alvarado and Ismael Alvarado, both of Ceres; and his sister, Martha Vallejo of Modesto. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Cardona Alvarado; and a brother and a sister.
