A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Angie Owens, 44, of Waterford. The former Hughson woman passed away on Dec. 28, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born May 8, 1964 in Texas, Mrs. Owens was raised in Stanislaus County. Angie graduated in 1982 from Hughson High School. Angie was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Waterford.

She leaves behind her two children, Kyle Owens of Ceres and Travis Stumpf of Modesto; six sisters, Barbara Cox of Waterford, Janet Stumpf of Empire, Pat Morphis of Kress, Texas, Myrna Langford of Dimmit, Texas, Teresa Miller of Empire, and Cindy Tennison of Keyes; two brothers, Ronnie Elliott of Denair and Steven Elliott of Hot Springs, Ark.; her mother, Louise Elliot of Waterford; and her grandson Kendall. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert, and siblings Gary and Terry Elliott.
