Arrangements were made for Berton Dee Evans, 50, of Ceres. He died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Cremation entrusted to Neptune Society of Central California.
Born May 16, 1957, Mr. Evans was a carpenter for over 30 years, last employed with Havens Maintenance Company of Modesto.
He leaves behind his companion, Ardith Ainslie of Ceres; his children, Bert E. Evans, Jason Sherman and Megan Evans, all of Modesto and Melissa McCay of Lancaster; three brothers, Henry Evans of Ceres, Alan Evans of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Ronald Evans of Lakewood; three sisters, Barbara Doyle of Lakewood, Priscilla Gray of Modesto and Debra Scott of Seal Beach; and one granddaughter, Sarah Sherman of Keyes. He was proceeded in death by his parents, H.D. and Aline Evans, and sister La Dell Best.
