Services were held for Carl Walter Jensen Jr., 60, of Ceres. He died Nov. 27, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.

Born Jan. 30, 1947, Mr. Jensen was a native of Los Angeles, born to the Rev. Carl W. and Mary Anne Jensen. He moved to Modesto as a young boy and attended Shackelford Elementary in South Modesto, Twain Harte Junior High and was a 1967 graduate of Modesto High School. Carl joined the Army after graduation and served in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in 1969. He was a member of IBEW Local 684, Teamsters Union Local 748 and the Operating Engineers Union Local 3.

Mr. Jensen was a longtime resident of Ceres, moving with his daughter Carlina to Idaho for 18 months before returning to Ceres in the spring of 2007. He enjoyed horses, working on cars, renovating old motorhomes, building a custom motorcycle and even designing custom electric gates for ranches and park entrances.

He leaves behind two daughters, Carla Janes of Ceres and Carlina Jensen of Waterford; his stepson, Kelly Glen; and three grandsons, Ross, Jr., Hayden and Owen Janes. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Offhill of Texas.
