A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, for Christine Mary Walters, 77, of Ceres. She died Jan. 9, 2009.
Born March 17, 1931, Mrs. Walters spent most of her life in Dublin and Ceres. She devoted her life to raising her family, volunteering to help others and gardening.
She leaves behind her five children, Terry Laughlin, Kelly Walters, Vicki Vincent, Kim Walters, and Kipp Walters; her sister, Lois Walker; her brother, Bob Bryant; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Warren Walters.
Remembrances may be sent to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Road, Hughson, CA 95326; or to the American Cancer Society.
