A funeral was held Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Cleo Johnson Thompson, 92, of Newman. The former Hughson resident died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004 at San Luis Convalescent Hospital.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 23, 1911, Mrs. Thompson was a native of Arkansas and lived in Newman for two years. She previously lived in Hughson for 60 years. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Hughson.
She leaves behind two children, Lewis Thompson of Hughson and Doris Schmidt of Coarsegold; her sister, Audrey House of Minden, La.; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thompson; and one grandchild.
