A memorial service was held July 29 at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs in Modesto for Eric Ross Clifton, 22. He died July 25, 2009.
Born Aug. 14, 1986 in Modesto, Eric was a native of Las Vegas, Nev. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his big heart, and his sense of humor. He was an avid baseball and basketball player, and he loved to fish.
He leaves behind his infant daughter, Jaiila Lee Clifton; his fiance, Nichole Alvarez of Ceres; his mother, Jennifer Clifton of Las Vegas, Nev.; his father, Ross Clifton of Atwater; his sister, Amber Clifton of New York City; and his grandmothers, Dixie Cronan of Ceres and Ruby Smith of Atwater. He was preceded in death by grandfather Mel Cronan.
