A funeral service was held Friday at Whitehurst Norton & Dias Chapel in Turlock for Ethel May Green Tarone, 90, of Modesto. She died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at her home.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 30, 1915, Mrs. Tarone was a native of Kansas City, Kan., and lived in Modesto for 35 years. She previously lived in Turlock and Rancho Cordova. Mrs. Tarone was an account clerk for the State of California STRS for five years. She belonged to Community Church of Christ, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Ceres Rebekah Lodge 256.
Mrs. Tarone leaves behind two children, Norris A. Jackson and Judy L. Weaver, both of Modesto; her brother, Russell Green of Modesto; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Tarone.
