A funeral was held Tuesday at St. George Church for George B. Bahi, 75, of Modesto. He died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born July 1, 1929, Mr. Bahi was a native of Mosul, Iraq, and lived in Modesto for 13 years. He was an auto mechanic for 40 years. Mr. Bahi was a member of St. George Parish Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East in Ceres. He enjoyed cars and the Chicago Cubs.
He leaves behind his wife, Doris Bahi of Modesto; four children, Albert Bahi and Joe Bahi, both of Modesto, and Samir Bahi and Emond Bahi, both of Nile, Ill.; his brother, Edward Kaju of Warren, Mich.; two sisters, Nina Halo of Jordan and Suad Kaju of Baghdad, Iraq; and seven grandchildren.
