The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs is in charge of private services for Gregory Allen Williams, 43, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Feb. 21, 2004 at his home.
Born Aug. 4, 1960, Mr. Williams was a native of San Jose and lived in Ceres for 12 years. He owned and operated Race Craft Engineering, a race car fabrication firm in Ceres for 20 years. He was the driver of the #4 car sponsored by his shop and garnered many wins at main events in San Jose, Watsonville, Madera, Stockton, Roseville and Altamont. Mr. Williams also was the driver of Ferrari Farms #2 at the modifieds at Madera and Stockton speedways.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen Williams of Ceres; two children, Samantha Williams and Christopher Williams, both of Ceres; and his brother, Michael Williams of Modesto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel E. Williams and Patricia J. Williams.
