A graveside service was held yesterday at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette for Hazel Looney-Grice, 73, of Modesto. She died July 11, 2008.
Born May 4, 1935 to Steve and Ola Stark, Hazel was a native of Hughson and was raised with seven brothers and sisters - Thelma, J.D., Virginia, Willy, Beverly, Anne-May and Calvin. She and late husband James Looney raised three children. She was also married to John Grice and helped raise Rick Colwell and Trika Stivers.
She leaves behind her three children, Keith Looney, Karan Head, and Kyle Looney; and 17 grandchildren.
